'D' Day??

Well, supposedly yesterday was 'd' day... as in the deciding day if there was enough interest in the Washington DC trip. So we sent in our deposit for the trip and... we weren't told that we weren't going. YEAH!!!! So now the fundraising is really on!!!

On other fronts...
- we are ready for Christmas at our house. The presents are purchased, wrapped and under the tree - well except for those few that we are still waiting on the shipping services for, lol!

- full lunar eclipse on the winter solstice night before last. Yeah, mother nature didn't cooperate - and I even set my alarm, got up and had my camera ready. Oh well, cloud cover kept it a little warmer for the get up yesterday morning. Guess I missed that once in a lifetime opportunity - last instance occured DEC 21, 1638 - 372 years ago. Hopefully my grandkids will be able to see it when it happens again in 2094 =)

Out for a Monday Drive

Ever wonder what the view is from the median of the highway? Well, here it is
<-----! Today on the way to work, I slid off the road and went into the median - so much for leaving early, right?? But no harm, no foul... made it to work - and better late than never.

Begining of an Adventure

It has been decided. Kyla and I will be going to Washington DC in June. We will need to raise $1300 to be able to go. WHEW!! So far we have explored ways to raise money... pop bottle drives, bake sale, sell candles, magazines and/or candy bars - out and out ask for cash donations.

Guess we'll see how it goes. I put a thermometer on the home page to track our progress. Let me know if you have any thoughts!
