It's nearly Christmas Eve and while most of the world is getting ready to celebrate, everything at our house is winding down. We celebrated with Bryan's family last month - Thanksgiving weekend, my family yesterday and with our girls yesterday as well. There is nothing like quality time with family during the holidays. It's a time to remember traditions of past and to create memories and new traditions. The girls received "game night" from Santa this year... so far, as a family we have enjoyed the Logo board game and Would You Rather? The girls have also played the new games for the wii - Just Dance 4 and Zumba Fitness. Tomorrow we will have breakfast with my parents.
Wishing all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Lots of camping...
Today included a volleyball tournament, a parade, a picnic, the pool, ice cream, a letterbox, a train with 140 cars and 5 engines and now a campfire. Been a really great family weekend. Packing up tomorrow for another super busy week!

Camping
It's been a great day today. Took the day off from work for family time. Got the girls some new clothes for back to school, went to a fair and rounded out the night at a campfire.

Camping in the rain
What a way for the weekend to end... So much for fireworks or campfire tonight. Thunderstorm, grrr!

January already
Guess the holiday season passed without a post... so I start again...
At a crop Sandy and I attended, we had a great little snack mix. Neither of us could remember what was in it, so I winged it... and I got lots of compliments at the tournament... Kix, rice chex, pretzels, bugels, cashews, mini marshmellows, m&m's and drizzled with almond bark. It was yummy.

Bailey's playing in a travel basketball league. Her team won both games Ashley v St Louis 22-15 and Ashley v Merrill 31-26.
Kyla's volleyball club played in Muskegon. Of 9 matches they won 6. Overall they did very well. It was the first time this team had ever played together. They are currently in 10th place in a league of 24 teams.
Lazy Sunday was really nice. Now it's back to the work week.
